THE THOUGHT BEHIND THE PROCESS

Good morning everyone - what another fabulous day for creating.  In the layout I want to share today I have scraps of different printed papers I wanted to use up. When I go to a crop with friends I end up with so many off cuts so now I make sure that I take them with me when I go so that i utilise them.

This layout has  was a bit of everything that just came together.

I started by having a couple photos of my son that i wanted to scrap - he was being very cheeky on his way to guitar practice at school...I was lucky enough that there was a great range of colors in them. I then set about foraging through my off cuts and picking out a few that I felt suited the pictures. They may not necessarily gone together but they suited the pictures.

After i sat my photos onto the page i manouevered the papers around so that they would be pleasing to my eye. Then Iopened up the buttons... i am not a button person, but they do add a lot of depth and help tie things together on a layout. They worked perfectly because of all the different papers I have used.

After I had everything in place I found that the layout was still a little bland. Using a dark color background the photos got lost on the page in the jumble of papers and buttons so, I whipped out the white pen and did a little bordering on the corners of the page near my photos - it was an instant lift.

Oh and about that masking tape.... I needed something to add behind my buttons so that they stood out more, the tape was handy and looks effective I think and also helps tie the papers together with the photos as it is placed over the layers.

So that was my thought on this one. Until next time enjoy your sunshiney day.
