I have a new camera! YAY!!!

This is the newest addition to the market and we were soo fortuantate to pic one up yesterday afternoon before the shop sold out of them that afternoon....

and Yep I am totally excited and just couldn't help to share!....
We purchased one at the camera store in lismore. http://camerahouse.com.au.

The camera house offers a really reasonable beginner and advance causes to get started too and have a monthly club to come and challenge your self with your camera it is quite good value and thinking i will do it myself.

If you want to see more about this camera CLICK HERE TO SEE THE REVIEWS....

Here is the camera with the hood...

Here is the back view...

here is the top view...

Here is the bottom view...
What made us decide on this one.....

We found between the 3 of them they were all very close but we had short listed our needs and the cannon and the panasonnic we were tosing over and then wade up the cost... with the battery we prefer a chargeable battery rather than the 4xAA's. This camera was cheaper than the cannon and we didn't have to outlay more costs for batteries and a recharger.

The disadvantages i think but they were quite small and that is you lost x6 zoom with this cammea to the cannon, your view finder can't move like the cannon can swival all directions. Also you can't put an extra flash at the top as you can the cannon. but these were a big thing for us and our use so it didn't matter...

Doodling Tutorial - Two

Hey guys!
Chelle here....with Lesson Two!
Are you ready to learn a new doodling idea?

I hope you had a go at the first one.
It really is quite easy and adds a little bit of originality to your page.

Ok, today I'm going to show you how to do the black and white checker border.
I love the way this looks and it's super easy to do.
I showed the girls who bought my last kit...Rover Park...how to do this on their pages, so I thought I'd share it with everyone.

Here goes...

So, you need to start by drawing 2 lines.
From there, draw a box and colour it in, like this...

Once you've done your border with the black boxes, it's time to pick up your white gel pen. Colour in all the left over boxes, to create your checker board effect on your border.

Once you're finished it will look a like this...
Looks great, huh??

Here's the finished layout, showing the whole effect.

Make sure you upload your doodled layouts to the gallery.

Until next time,

Saturday Scrapping Stuimulus

Welcome to another wonderfully scrappy Saturday!

Today I have a quote to honour our friends, and also embrace the insanity we all have inside us – even if it’s just a little!

“A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg, even though he knows that you are slightly cracked” – Bernard Meltzer

I hope it inspires you to create something about your wonderful friendships, or at the very least, makes you smile!

See you again next week!

Kylie

Single LO - Carolyn Zabel - Love U Baby Girl

Carolyn has used the Maddison Range from K & Company to do this wonderful layout.... If you would like to purchase your own papers in this range... please CLICK HERE to go to our Scrap N Craft with T shop.

Take your sheet of K&co Madeline Painted roses using your Crafters workshop template

Trace the outside shape onto the back of your patterned paper. Cut this shape out.

I then cut it in half. Position one of the halves in the middle of the page. Stick this down.

Next cut a piece of K&Co Madeline Paris je T'aime Patterned paper 8"x2.5".
Adhere this 4.5" from the bottom of the page
Starting about 2" in from the left side.
Then double Matt the photo.
As I used a BW photo I wanted it to stand out a little my daughter is dressed as a fairy
So I decided to take a pink texta and colour in the wings. I then added kindy glitz to the wings over the area I coloured with the texta.

Next add the pink Love ribbon along the bottom of the strip of Madeline Paris je T'aime Patterned paper.
Next add flowers to the top right corner of the photo and then the bottom left corner of the photo.
I added kindy glitz to random flowers and then added rhinestones and Prima say it with crystals in the centre of the flowers.

For the title I painted The A2Z scraplets title and then added kindy glitz.

The U(AC Thickers) is then added and the word Baby girl in alpha stickers to finish the title off.
Under the flowers on the top right corner add the Kaisercraft rub on.
Last of all add a fine border of kindy glitz around the PP.

Thank you I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial.
Carolyn

Autumn Leaves Kit 3 -Kaiser Mini Album - by Tracey Thorne

Hi Everyone ‘tis Tracey here,

Here is the next Autumn Leaves kit from me for this month.

I really enjoyed putting this together as I had some fantastic photos of my daughter that I turned to a nice black and white and this album was the perfect opportunity to do that. I have used a Kaiser album and the autumn leaves paper in conjunction with a little machine stitching. I also tried my hand at hand dying my white flowers. Tanyah has a great range of liquid dyes in stock that can be used for this , they are so versatile not only for paper products but also fabrics.

This album includes:

Other things that you will need but are not included but are available for purchase from Scrap N Craft with T :

I hope you enjoy making this album as a gift or for yourself – I had a heap of fun creating and reliving the memories of all the pictures that I took in this photoshoot.

TO PURCHASE YOUR OWN KIT... and make your own ....CLICK HERE! and you will be directed to Scrap N Craft with T shop.

Enjoy

Photo Challenge - NOT!

Yes, that's right ... you read it correctly.
This is a photo challenge ..... NOT!

Tanyah asked if I might like to send some inspiration to the blog today and I was thinking how recently I've been wanting to scrap layouts but don't have a photo to do it.

So, the challenge today, if you need some inspiration,
is to scrap a layout NOT USING A PHOTO.

It's a great way to use up some of your favourite embellishments because now there is more room than ever. You can even do a cool title - a big one with all that space.

Take a peak at a recent layout I did. Hope this gets you scrapping absolutely anything you like - no photo needed!

And it would be great if you posted in the gallery to show us what you created - simply put PHOTO CHALLENGE - NOT! as the header.

Have fun,

Leanne Stamatellos
