Single page layout kit by Nicole Amber

This layout kit was designed to celebrate a special relationship in your life. You may like to focus on your spouse, best friend, children, parent or even your favourite pet!
The kit features Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine paper and a specially made pleated fabric strip.

Step 1.
From your patterned paper, cut an 8 x 10 inch piece and a 2 x 12 inch strip. Take the beige cardstock and use this as your base. Attach the 8 x 10 inch patterned paper piece (floral side up) to the left-hand side of the beige cardstock (I've given it a slight tilt). Attach the 2 x 12 inch strip (blue side up) horizontally across the page approx. 2.5 inches from the bottom edge.

Step 2.

Cut the red cardstock to 5½ x 9 inches and tear the bottom edge.
TIP - for more control over your tear, run a damp paintbrush along the line of where you would like to tear.
Place a 5 x 7 inch photo on top (I have trimmed my photo to 5 x 6 inch but you can leave yours as is).

Step 3.

Attach the red cardstock and photo to the patterned paper. I have lined mine up more to the left-hand side of the patterned paper to leave room for the title later.

Step 4.

Attach the pleated fabric strip (I have just used double-sided tape to do this) across the bottom of the red cardstock in line with the 2 x 12 inch patterned paper strip. Attach a length of paper raffia over the fabric strip securing the ends to the back of the layout. I've cut a smaller length of raffia and tied a knot around the long piece (see picture below).

Step 5.

I have used the tiny chocolate sticker letters for the first part of the title. I have stuck them to the red cardstock with a thin border and cut out each word. The quote I have used is “As constant as the stars above, always know that you are loved” but if you have a special quote that means something special to you then by all means use that.

Step 6.

Slightly overlap 3 burgandy flowers together and using the foam stickers place the title (in this case, ‘loved’) over the top, then attach to the layout as shown.

Step 7.
Punch three holes in the side of the patterned paper piece. Cut three 10cm lengths of paper raffia, poke one length through each of the holes you've just punched and tie off. All done!!!

Note: It's totally optional but if you want to do that extra bit more to finish off you can run a couple of lines of machine stitching around the edge or perhaps doodle a border around the edge.

Enjoy!....
